Wilstock Gardens Childcare is a childcare setting based just behind Wilstock Village, North Petherton. Our entrance can be found via Rhode Lane and we are within walking distance from Wilstock Village and the Hamp Estate.
We run our childcare based on a Scandinavian style, with lots of outside play in all weathers. We can never guarantee your child coming home clean & tidy, with two socks that match, but they will come home happy and fulfilled. We believe children learn best through play. For example, the best way to teach a 2-3 year old to count to 10 is to engage them in fun activities where learning naturally takes place, like playing hide and seek, building castles in the sandpit or counting bikes and cars.
Each day is filled with fun through a combination of free play and organised activities with the aim of helping the children learn new skills and develop their confidence and self esteem which are essential for further education. We have a large outdoor play area where the children's favourite activities are usually cycling around the bike track, creating castles in the sandpit and playing on the rope swings.
The children are given fresh, natural, home cooked food every day as we strongly believe vitamins, minerals and nutrients from a balanced diet are important for your child’s health, behaviour and ability to learn. We want your children to be happy, healthy and gain a solid foundation for their future.
During term time we are open for children ages 2 - 4 and during school holidays we are open for primary school age children too.

All food prepared at Wilstock Gardens is from natural ingredients with no artificial additives. The children are often involved in cooking and baking.

We have based our childcare on the Scandinavian style, where children enjoy the outdoors in all weathers.

At Wilstock Gardens we have an egg incubator where we regularly incubate eggs. The Children absolutely love watching the chicks hatch and taking care of them as they grow.
